Agreement These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of MapSathi. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use MapSathi. ## 2. Eligibility and Accounts You must be legally permitted to use MapSathi in your jurisdiction and meet the minimum age requirement of [set minimum age]. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and device secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must provide accurate information and must not impersonate another person. ## 3. What MapSathi Provides MapSathi may provide live location sharing, groups, invite codes, maps, search, directions, location history, notifications, geofencing and SOS alerts. Features may change, be unavailable or be limited by device, operating system, network, permissions or service-provider availability. ## 4. Location Permissions and Sharing Some features require foreground or background location permission. You decide whether to grant these permissions through your device settings and the app's controls. You are responsible for understanding who can see your location before joining or creating a group. Do not share another person's location without appropriate permission or lawful authority. Location data and map results may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. MapSathi must not be treated as a guaranteed tracking, navigation or emergency-response service. ## 5. SOS and Emergency Disclaimer SOS is a notification and location-sharing feature intended to alert selected group members. It is not a substitute for emergency services, police, ambulance, fire services or other official emergency-response systems. Delivery may fail or be delayed because of connectivity, device battery, permissions, server availability or notification restrictions. If you face an emergency, contact the relevant local emergency service directly. ## 6. Acceptable Use You must not: - Track, monitor, harass, threaten or stalk anyone. - Add someone to a group or share their location without appropriate permission. - Use MapSathi for unlawful surveillance or unlawful activity. - Impersonate another person or misuse invite codes. - Attempt to access another user's account, data or group without authorisation. - Interfere with the app, bypass security controls or abuse the service. - Use MapSathi in a way that violates applicable law or another person's rights. We may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse, security threats or violations of these terms, subject to applicable law. ## 7. User Content and Group Conduct You are responsible for information you submit, including group names, profile details and other content. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it. We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these terms or comply with law. ## 8. Third-Party Services MapSathi may rely on third-party services for authentication, maps, geocoding, hosting, notifications, analytics, advertising and payments. Their availability and terms are controlled by those providers. We are not responsible for independent third-party services to the extent permitted by law. ## 9. Advertising MapSathi may display advertisements. Advertising availability and personalisation may depend on your location, consent choices, device settings and applicable law. You can manage applicable advertising privacy choices through the app's Privacy Options entry point. ## 10. Paid Features and Subscriptions If paid plans are offered, the applicable price, billing period, included features, renewal terms and cancellation method will be shown before purchase. Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled through the relevant store or payment provider before the renewal date. Deleting the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled under the applicable store or payment provider rules and our published Subscription and Refund Policy. ## 11. Intellectual Property MapSathi and its original software, branding and materials are owned by or licensed to [Developer / Business Name], except for third-party components and content. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the app in accordance with these terms. ## 12. Availability and Changes We may modify, suspend or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, technical or business reasons. We will provide notice where required by applicable law. ## 13. Disclaimers To the extent permitted by law, MapSathi is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, continuous GPS availability, exact location accuracy, successful notification delivery or emergency response. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. ## 14. Limitation of Liability To the extent permitted by applicable law, [Developer / Business Name] will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the app, including losses caused by inaccurate location information, device restrictions, network failures or third-party service interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct where applicable. ## 15. Suspension and Termination You may stop using MapSathi at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risks or legal requirements. Account deletion requests are handled under the Privacy Policy and Account Deletion process. ## 16. Governing Law and Disputes These terms are governed by the laws of [insert applicable jurisdiction].
