Location Safety Policy

# MapSathi — Location and Safety Disclosure MapSathi uses location permissions to provide location-sharing and related features. ## Foreground location When permitted, MapSathi can access your location while you use the app to show your position and support map and group features. ## Background location If you enable a feature that requires background tracking and grant the relevant permission, MapSathi may access and update your location while the app is not actively displayed. This supports group location sharing and background tracking. ## Who can see your location? Your location may be shared with members of groups you join, according to the app's sharing controls. Review group membership before sharing. ## Control your location You can manage location permissions in Android Settings. You can also use available in-app controls to stop sharing, leave groups or disable tracking. ## Accuracy and availability GPS accuracy, update frequency and delivery depend on your device, battery, network, operating-system settings and permission status. Location can be delayed or inaccurate. ## Emergency limitations SOS alerts are not guaranteed to reach recipients and do not directly guarantee emergency-service dispatch. Contact local emergency services directly during an emergency. **Read also:** [Terms of Service](../terms/index.html), [Privacy Policy](../privacy-policy/index.html), [Community Guidelines](../community-guidelines/index.html) **Contact:** sfzalig@gmail.com
